The 50th annual 'Celebrate Israel Parade', which took place on Sunday in New York , is the largest public event in the world in celebration of Israel. This year's Parade featured SpaceIL, Israel's entrant in the Google Lunar XPRIZE competition; a flyover of 15 airplanes by the US IL Flying Club; Grover from Shalom Sesame; and performances from Israeli recording artists Chen Aharoni, Hagit Yaso and DJ Mr. Black; as well as 35,000 marchers, 31 floats and hundreds of thousands of spectators.
